When you are part of the 'sandwich generation', with kids of your own and elderly parents, it can feel like you are being stretched to your limits. You want your parents to be safe and get the care they need, but you don't have time to deal with the confusing and complex aged care system. Or perhaps you don't live near your parents and feel helpless.

Where do you start? What questions do you ask? What are the options to consider? Are we doing the right thing?

It can feel like you are lost in a maze, which is stressful and overwhelming.

It doesn't have to be that way.

People often make aged care decisions in a crisis and end up short-changed and ripped off by the system.

Hey, I’m Shane.

AN INDEPENDENT VOICE FOR YOUR FAMILY

We understand the worry and stress people experience when it comes to dealing with aged care, especially when it is for a loved one.

Dealing with the government and service providers is a minefield, often difficult and time-consuming to manage.

Australia's aged care system is incredibly complex, and the wrong decisions can come at a high cost, both financially and emotionally.

At Family Aged Care Advocates, we have personal and professional experience helping families navigate the confusing and complicated aged care system to get the best outcomes for ageing parents and loved ones. We take the time to get to know your family and the needs of your loved ones.

Our services are not aligned with any provider. We are independent aged care specialists and only interested in the right outcome for your family and loved one; and we know aged care comprehensively.

'STAY AT HOME' STRATEGY

Not all roads on the aged care journey have to lead to a nursing home. We help families create a 'stay at home' strategy so loved ones can age with dignity in their own home.

We review current home care packages to ensure your loved one is getting the care and funding they are entitled to.
